Winter Goals: An interim review

A review of my winter goals, 3 weeks in.
  • Go to yoga. Yep no issues here. It is the highlight of my Mondays.
  • Go to the gym twice a week. OMG impossible. Really failing at this because of my dedication to school and that having two jobs thing. Mondays I read until yoga, Tuesdays I could go in the morning (but the tradeoff is more reading for school), Wednesdays I have a 2 hour break until work, Thursdays I could go after work and before dinner maybe (but after 8 hours of work and knowing I still have to cook dinner makes it a mental challenge to get there), Fridays I should be going before work, Saturdays I’m at work, Sundays I’m at work. NEED to do better at this.
  • No more pub food, except calamari and pickles. No problems here, I am too broke to go out.
  • Make time to be creative. Having problems going to the gym as is, so I’m completely passing by any fun time.
  • Find more fun and free things to do. With what free time to do them in?
  • Breeze through my last term of university. This is requiring a lot of hard work, but so far school is going well (okay maybe save my Finance class that is so laissez-faire that I have no idea what I should be reading/researching/doing).

Obviously my life centres around school. Not fun at all. I went for coffee with a new friend yesterday and (like everyone else) was shocked at all the stuff that I have to do. He asked me when I had ‘me’ time, and I could only truthfully answer Monday afternoons & nights and Tuesday mornings… ouch. It is really depressing, and all I feel like I’m doing is putting in the time until September when I have a seriously decreased workload (but I’m expecting it to be just an intense..).
